Free Summer Fun Events for Children in 2013
Dukes Meadows Trust is working with Hounslow Council to improve access to and around Dukes Meadows. This means making it easier to get to the meadows by a variety of methods and making the experience a pleasant one.
The Meadows is the largest area for sport and leisure in West London and in recent years as facilities have increased and improved, it has become ever busier.
The first stage in creating a plan is to gather information on where people are travelling to the meadows from, how they are getting here and whether it could be made easier and more appealing for them to travel other than by single occupancy car journey, which has the biggest impact on the area in terms of; traffic volume, congestion, emissions and competition for parking.
There is no coercion, people are free to choose how to get here, but if they would like to travel by other means than by alone in their car, the results of the survey will help get funding to make changes so that cycling, walking or travelling by bus are more appealing options.
In order for the results of the survey to have the weight to influence decisions and secure resources we need a good level of response. Please could you spare 3 minutes to complete the survey by logging onto; www.dukesmeadowstravelplan.org
