Stanhope support local park regeneration project in Dukes Meadows

The developers of Chiswick Park, Stanhope Plc has stepped in to ensure that the new water play area for Dukes Meadows will look its best when it opens next summer.

Due to budget constraints the planned landscaping for the scheme could not be completed, which would have left the play area looking rather bare. Stanhope, who are currently building the 3rd phase of their award winning office complex on Chiswick High Road, stepped in and offered to pay for the landscaping.

Benjamin Lesser from Stanhope said “We are very pleased to be able to make a difference on the project. Our view is that the planting is probably one of the most important factors in creating quality spaces for people to enjoy.”

A number of large trees and shrubs will be planted to provide shade, colour and interest. Friends of Dukes Meadows Trustee Paul Allen said, “ It is great to see a large business like Stanhope taking such an interest in the community and supporting a local initiative.”

Building on previous projects where Stanhope have collaborated with the development of Artists’ Studios at Dukes Meadows, Chiswick Park’s Enjoy-work organisation will be donating some of the 3000 trees to be planted in the local area. This is part of an on-going relationship of local support.
