Our aim is to contiue to deliver Free of charge events for the local commmunity and improve biodiversity in the area, but we need help to make this happen.

The 2010 free events have now finished

Sunday 18th July saw the final event of the Dukes Meadows Summer Fun. The Farm on the Move livened up the meadows with its cute animals. It was lovely to see so many people admiring donkeys, cows, a goat, fluffy rabbits, chickens, ducks and many more.

For the fourth year running Summer Fun took over Dukes Meadows and the local families had a whale of a time. A host of familiar events were enjoyed by the local children: Albert from the circus workshop, Punch and Judy show, Amanda’s Action Kids and the ever-popular donkey rides.

Maria Krzyzosiak, the Trust’s Development Manager, said, “We would like to thank Dukes Meadows Golf and Tennis and the local Safer Neighbourhood Police for their kind sponsorship, which allowed us to organise all the events free of charge for the participants.”

The Summer Fun events have come to an end for the season, the paddling pool remains open and the new play area will see weekly play sessions starting on Tuesday 27th July at 2pm.
