After lobbying for a number of years, a transport and access plan has been commissioned for Dukes Meadows.
The Transport and Access study seeks to identify and analyse the problems and propose solutions, such as new footpaths and junction layouts, which will be costed and implemented over time.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the draft plan produced by transport consultants Peter Brett Associates. This is a proposal to improve the facilities available to those accessing the Dukes Meadows site, with an emphasis on improving the environment for pedestrians and cyclists. The consultants have suggested a number of solutions to specific issues, following an initial consultation session and a number of site visits.
We are now asking for stakeholder feedback on these proposals. Council officers will then need to investigate further the feasibility and practicality of these proposals before producing a final report.
As the plans are still at draft stage, this is a good opportunity for you to have your say on the current proposals
