The new play area includes a shallow pool with a fountain, sandpit and a refreshment kiosk, a pleasant landscape design including many trees and shrubs

The general trend has been for paddling pools to close, so it’s great we can move in the opposite direction and create something the community really wants.  Now the play area is up and running, it will act as a model that other areas can look to and recreate, so hopefully, more people can enjoy a low cost, family friendly day out.

The Pedestrian entrance is through wrought Iron gates in Edensor Road  into Promenade Approach Road Chiswick W4. The  Water Play Area entrance ramp  is on right  hand side of promenade approach road
The Duke’s Meadow Trust  started the project five years ago when local people prioritized recreating the old paddling pool, closed ten years ago, in a survey carried out by the Friends.

Mayor gives seal of approval to waterside oasis
Declaring it officially open and unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion, the Mayor, who is also a member of Duke’s Meadows Trust, said “I am delighted to officially open this oasis for children and look forward to meeting the children in the sandpit and the paddling pool. I would also like to pay tribute to Kathleen Healy (Project Development Manager for Duke’s Meadows Trust) for her persistence in achieving the transformation around us today."
